(Oct./Nov. 2020, highest chart pos. #13 Hot 100,
#1 Israel, Poland, & Slovenia, from
2020 album Heaven & Hell)
Kicking off this special sneak preview post, that was Milwaukee
born dance-pop star Amanda Koci, known to her fans as Ava Max.
"Kings & Queens," released as a single from Ava's 2020 album
Heaven & Hell, made a run at the top 10 on the U.S. pop chart.
Hi, I'm Beth Harmon from The Queen's Gambit...
the hit 2020 Netflix coming of age period drama
miniseries about an orphan chess prodigy.
On my new radio show, coming soon to S-P-M-M, every song I play will
make reference to chess pieces and, in general, to the games people play.
Let's make a play date right here and now. Please join me for
Beth Harmon: Rooks That Kill!
coming soon to this station.
I'm Olivia Pope from the ABC political thriller TV series Scandal.
A former White House Director of Communications, I now have my own
crisis-management firm. I'm regarded as the best "fixer" in Washington.
One more thing. I'm sleeping with a married man who just happens to
be the President of the United States. Correction: we don't sleep.
We stay awake. baby, uh-huh... wide awake!
On my new radio show
coming soon to S-P-M-M,
I'll be joined by three
more Washington, D.C.
female power players.
Just think of us as
White House
Wonder Women.

and here's a sample of
what you'll hear, a #1 hit
by those other Supremes,

I'm Ronald Pergman, a psycho
long-haul trucker involved in
several unsolved kidnappings
on the ABC-TV crime drama
thriller series Big Sky. Hey,
look... I'm actually a heck
of a nice guy. Just don't
piss me off.
I know that kidnapping is wrong, but I have an excuse...
...a note from my mommy. Yep, I still live at home. Mama rides me pretty hard.
She says I'm a failure... just like papa was. (He was also a rolling stone.)
Mama calls me a pervert and a born loser... a man that no woman on earth
would want and no woman will ever love. Gee... thanks for the pep talk, mom.
(I smell a Norman Bates scenario brewing.)
My new S-P-M-M radio show, Sky King & His Songbirds, is named after,
but bears little or no resemblance to the 1950s Western-themed TV series,
the adventures of Schuyler "Sky" King, an Arizona rancher and aircraft
pilot who captures criminals and spies and finds lost hikers with the
help of his niece Penny, his nephew Clipper and his twin-engine
Cessna airplane that he named The Songbird.
Joining me on my S-P-M-M show will be three other characters
from Big Sky. Together, we'll bring you a truckload of music and
memories - the best sounds of the 20th and 21st centuries.
As a trucker with no wife, no girlfriend and no prospects,
I'm lookin' for love in all the wrong places... like truck stops.
I'm not proud of the things that go on inside my big rig...
...but I always take responsibility for my actions, hence my motto:
"The truck stops here." (BA-DUM-BUMP)
When I'm on the road again, there's nothing I like more than turning on
the radio and hearing my favorite crooner Roy Orbison, the rock & roll
troubadour whose songs speak to lonely guys like me who are unlucky
in love (but lucky in kidnapping). The next best thing to Roy is a lady
who covers his songs and does it well. I'm talking about Arkansas
songbird Arlene Harden, a member of the country music group
The Harden Trio and a successful solo artist who made the
country chart 15 times from the late 60s thru early 70s.

I'm Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison from the
British police procedural TV series Prime Suspect.
Think I look like actress Helen Mirren? I get that a lot.
By the way... don't call me mom.
Call me anything but mom.
I'm not your mom.
As one of the first female DCI's
in Greater London's Metro Police
Service, sleeping my way to the
rank of Detective Superintendent,
my job is to nick and book bad
boys like the one you just met,
lecherous, treacherous trucker
Ronald Pergman.
Shady Del Knight has tapped me
to join The Shady Bunch, and has
assigned me to join other English

Hi, I'm Scarlett Winslow...
I'm just an innocent looking girl (well, maybe not) who moves into the infamous
Murder House on the FX/Hulu anthology horror series American Horror Stories.
Long story short: I fooled around
and fell in love with a living dead
girl named Ruby who ghosted me
in a very special way. Yessum, by
now you can tell that I'm just an
ordinary, average teenager
who likes to experiment.
In addition to taking bubble baths with Ruby, my hobbies
include donning a weird Rubber Man suit I found...
...and slaughtering high school classmates and other people
who get in the way of our bad romance.
I'll be joining a group of
young women hosting the
new S-P-M-M radio series
SCREAM
QUEENS
and here's a song sample...
